As you may or may not know, I was on vacation this past week.
The one thing I wanted to do (even more than sew) was get
together with my friend Donna.  We live an hour apart, work
at the same place, but different days and shifts. (we used to
work two days together)  Well here it was Friday afternoon and
she had not called me to say we could get together.  I was so
bummed :(
Then out of the blue, she knocks on my door!  YAY !!! :)
So this is what we did, while we talked and caught up with each
other.  (we get together 1 or 2 times a year)

The top picture is the three bracelets I made.  The turquoise
one has two dragonfly's on it.  The pink and green one was
a necklace with a broken clasp, purchased at a yard sale last summer.
The one in the back was made from beads we purchased.
Here is all of the jewelry I made (forgot to take pictures of
her jewelry before she left) on another up-cycled CD holder,
this one I plan to sell in my store!

This is a smaller up-cycled CD holder that will also be listed
in my store when finished!
We had a Great day together!

  1. My 17 year old daughter will like this post! She loves jewelry :-) It is 'sew' much fun to spend the day with a friend crafting, baking or sewing. Good for you! It's been such a long winter that a day spent with a friend is probably long overdue!
